FAKTOR-FAKTOR PSIKOLOGIS DALAM KEPUTUSAN NASABAH UNTUK MENABUNG DI BANK SYARIAH MANDIRI CABANG PALEMBANG

ABSTRACT

Economic and monetary crisis that occurred in 1998 has given the bitter experience which some conventional banks had to be liquidated. But this condition is amomentum for the growth of Islamic banking because Islamic banks can be moredefensive than most conventional banks. Since then the development of Islamic banking becomes more rapid. This is because Indonesia has the largest Muslim population in the world. In addition, because of the factors that influence customer decisions to save moneyin Islamic banks, one of which is the psychological factor.The purpose of this study was to determine the significant influence of psychological factors on the customer's decision to save money at Bank Syariah Mandiri,Palembang branch.This research was conducted on 200 respondents who are customers of Bank Syariah Mandiri, Palembang branch. The sampling technique used was accidentalsampling technique. Statistical analysis technique used was exploratory factor analysis andcluster analysis with the help of SPSS for Windows version 15.0.The results showed that there is a significant positive influence of custome’s psychological factors on the customer's decision to save money at Bank Syariah Mandiri,Palembang branch.
